Something to do with the fact that my address is technically a unit
and they dont install in units

but its only a unit because one house was knocked down and four smaller townhouses built...we are each a small house in our own right

sorry to whinge...but this is a gripe of mine because I want to get Fox Footy
I live in exactly the same situation - 4 houses or units as we are called on the block. We are the back one and we had no trouble getting Foxtel. Unit 3 got it last week. I suggest you ring them again and pester. If you need my address as an example please contact me.

Crazy that you have to treat them like idiots to get what you want.

I know of someone in the same situation.
They were refused over and over, and in the end just gave a general number for the address and waited out front for them to arrive.
Then they convinced that that it wasn't a unit and ended up getting it.

        Not an issue for me.
I already watch too much tv, Foxtel would turn me as white as an Englishman in a flour factory
The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.

How lucky am I. I have Optus cable. We have everything Optus, TV, phone, Internet and mobiles for 8 years, and have never had even a hint of a problem.

Wouldn't touch anything with a sniff of Telstra after the crap they gave me and even worse my elderly parents.

You could probably make that argument.

But then you could make many many arguments about Eddie and his bias'

What's the bet that when Sydney play the Wobbles it's one of the first 3 reviewed?

He says he follows the fixture with the games.
            I don't think so.
And leaving Sydney vs Melb to be one of the last reviewed when it is potentially the game of the round is a joke.

You know hwat will happen to Eddie?

Exactly what happend to Ray Martin and to a lesser extent Daryl Sommers.
People will eventually grow tired and turn on him.
            I await that day
Not only is Eddie anti National Comp hes also Anti Swans and Anti Any team except his beloved Pies( choke, choke, Blecchhhh!)

Bugger Eddie, Bugger the Colliewobbles, GO THE MIGHTY SWANS!!!

Thanks for the offer Anne...i may take you up on that. The silly thing in my case is that all our units have their own street frontage...so its not even a case of the cable having to go past other units

They tried to convince me that they had someone drive past my house to see the set-up, etc. Didnt even have the courtesy to ring and discuss it with me...just sent a "thanks but no thank's" email

It cost them a cable internet customer too...I was going to get both...so i switched to iprimus...that was my revenge!!!!

Took me months to convince Optus that I live in a house despite that fact that the area is not zoned for multiple occupancy of any kind. The cable actually hangs across my driveway but they had my house number marked as "not connectable".

I only have cable internet though, not TV. It costs too much.

just ask for a satellite dish. I don't think they do cables any more unless they are already there.

Not sure how your units are setup, but you just need to apply to foxtel to have the complex setup - and they will determine if you are worthy lol

They should be a satelite in though if you are in townhouses??

My block of units was cabled last year because 3 of the units wanted it...

Slightly off topic - Foxtel digital is unreal!! Very glad I upgraded from the normal service.
