The forecast for tomorrow evening is strong - towards gale force winds. Is that likely to favour one team or the other? (Apart from the one that can kick straight in the wind. . .)

The game was against the Tiges, who were very ordinary, so not a good yard stick.
But I do remember a game in 1996, SS V WC Rnd 22. Rained for a year the week before the game. Won vy 35 points.
Seriously tho', We use the short kick a lot so they will have to be on the ball (so to speak), as for the Dees I haven't seen much of them so don't know.Comment

In many cases the winds seem to drop in the evenings. But if it is windy there seems to be an evening up of teams until one starts to adapt better.
Also depends on how protected the ground is by stands. Will one side of the ground play better than the other. The wind sure does bring other dimensions into the game.
I remember on the Melbourne suburban grounds that they all played differently. The home of Footscray, the Western Oval was a tough one. The doggies would bottle it up in the dead pocket when the opposition was kicking with wind. Very hard to beat at home they were and caused many an upset.
In some games a goal was not scored at one end.Comment

We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment
