Last season he was third behind Hall and Ball, good to see an improvement. Understandable about Balls drop off after the shoulder troubles.- Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!Comment

Does this figure include the bar?
Very happy about C Bolton, I wish heavier players could lift as much - ie Saddington!Comment

I agree KP players need more strength. A lot more.
Gehrig, Neiter, Lynch, Lloyd. If you expect to play on these goons then you better be strong, really strong.
Good on B2 for working on this area because its essential.
I mean if you're Jim Hird you don't need to lift 140kgs but if you're lining up on Jono Brown it helps a lot!The Pain of Discipline is Nothing Like The Pain of DisappointmentComment

Given that pushing one's opponent out with one's hands is a no no, does bench press weight really mean that much. I'd have thought leg strength and core stability - ie the ability to hold one's position in a one-on-one would be more relevant.Comment

Pushing a player in the shoulder isn't illegal and is vital in a contest with Alistair Lynch even if he does fall over looking for a free.Originally posted by lizz

Power from all aspects of the body is vital including legs. If Lynchy can shoulder you to one side then you can do the same.

Lloyd doesn't need the strength anyway, he is untouchable in the eyes of the umpiring community... Did anyone see him shepard through a goal on 1/4 or 1/2 time in the pies vs. bombers game? If that was a marking contest and the defender did that to him they would be called for holding in a second.Originally posted by lizz
