Essendon is set to regain three key players for its round-six clash against Sydney at the MCG on Saturday.

Jason Johnson, Mark Johnson and Mark McVeigh are all ready to resume after all three players have managed just one game each this season.

Jason Johnson played in round one, Mark Johnson in round two and McVeigh in round two but have all been troubled by hamstring injuries.

Marc Bullen (calf) and Henneman (hip), who were both late withdrawals from Sunday?s Anzac Day clash against Collingwood, will face fitness tests this week.

We could be in for a battle of the bros! Other than that, it's pretty crappy news for us.

I thought the Johnsons might be back this week - this could be a problem for us given that they were their two leading possession getters and top clearance men in 2003.

On the positive side, I still don't think Essendon is playing particularly good footy, mainly in bursts and highly dependent on just a few players.

Crappy, I call that great - three underdone players in a already slow team. Bring it on! Really looking forward to this game - after beating the wobbles the Melbourne press will beat up Essendon so that they will go in with heads the sizes of beachballs. On the other hand, we will be written off. Mentally an ideal scenario for us.

        That was my reaction too.

Surely Sheedy wouldn't bring them all back at the same time?

The bombers will be a better team for the inclusion of these players but they wont contribute to their usual standards, but if all 3 or only 1 out of 3 plays the bombers will still be a better team. All quality experienced players.
