Nick Davis - kicking for our lives

Did you notice how accurate we were when Nick returned to the squad?

Not only is Nick an amazing kick for goal, he also seems to inspire accuracy in others. They see Nick as a perfectionist and I reckon they concentrate on their own routine (yes except Goodesy and Bally isn't allowed in the forward 50 anymore apparently*).

Either that or it's just an ongoing fluke! ha

    * Wild claim and may not be backed up by any substance.

Nick is the best kick for goal in our team - there is no argument there.

Not to mention the best disposer of the ball, and longest kick.

Hmm, I reckon O'Keefe runs him close.

        Nope, not even close

Well, maybe close but nick still wins, true?

I havent seen a guy grab a football and constantly kick goals from 50 from all angles - he just doesn't miss! Apart from that slight rush off blood when he sprayed one.

As soon as he turned to kick I expected him to drill it and bring the house down - I was extremely surprised he missed and dissapointed! That's the sort of expectance i have of nick - if he misses a goal - from anywhere - i'm disapointed - that proves how good he is - I cant say I'm filled with the same confidence about o'keefe - but he is very good too.

          Herald Sun Today

Herald Sun says David out for 5-6 weeks with his hip, is this correct.

I think the difference is in confidence.

When Davis kicks the ball, he expects it to go through the big sticks.

When O'Keefe shoots on goal, he hopes it will go through.

His kicking action for that first one was really weird though, sort of hooked his foot right back after impact into a karate pose, the ball started way out right before swinging back through the centre, really amazing.

Any chance of him hooking up with Goodesy!!!!

I bet you've inadvertently gone to an old webpage. It sometimes happens with the links. A few weeks ago I heard that Magic might be back if we made the Grand Final. That was good news after round 3!

I think this is pretty close to the mark. It is a confidence thing, Ryan tends to get the screamers from outside 50 on the run easily, it's the close in set shots when he doesn't set himself properly that let him down. But look out Nick, my Pebbles is right on your tail

Either way they're both a pleasure to watch when on song. Still not happy about the advantage not being paid for Ryan's second goal I was jumping out of my seat for a while there.

I would take Nicky D kicking for goal over anyone else in the league.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Doesnt crap umpiring linger a long time after a loss.

I am so cranky with some of the efforts of the umps on Sat night but that is only surpassed by some of the efforts from the Swans.

IMHO, the top few kicks from set shots at the Swans would be Nick Davis, Barry Hall, Ryan O'Keefe and the other I would look to if it was a kick for my life, would be.....

                              Jared Crouch
