    SMS Game

Coming home from Manuka, in a joyful mood, I played a fun game with a girlfriend that we were in convoy with. Turn a song into a swansong ...

    e.g.
Give me a home among the Swans please
    With lots of goals please
A Jude for you and a Bevan too ....

    When my Swannies
When my Swannies play for me I think of Leo, Leapin' Leo

    Swing low, sweet chariot
    Barry's gonna carry us home

    Oh Jude
    Don't make it bad
    Take a Swans fan
    And make her better

    Kick go the goals Baz
    Kick Kick Kick
If it's a tough one then
    Kick it to Nick

    (of course there's Schneiderman)

I can't remember them all, we had some great ones, and some not so good ones. Can anyone offer any thoughts?

we do a similar thing with the boys. And it's only for a victory.

I still have the Freo one with me. As Shannon Noll sung that day, we used what about me as the song and it went like this

There's a Freo boy standing in the goal mouth at the SCG
    He's been standing down there
    Waiting half the game
But Sydney's goals they just wont stop
    He gets pushed around
    Knocked to the ground
he gets to his feet and he says

What about me it isn't fair
    I've come to play
    But Sydney wont share
    Can't you see
    I look the part
But Sydney just has got more heart.

I actually remember by heart the one we made up for last years Bombers game when Hird didn't play (the boys make me sing over and over - they love it), but I dare not jinx us by posting it.

    it's fun.

on the trip back from Manuka we tried to think of Movie stars / Rock stars that had the same initials as the Sydney boys. I'll have to try and remember them, but I know we ended up with some classics.

a couple that come to mind were (Obviously) Ryan O'Keefe all I could think of was Roy Orbison so we dubbed him The Big O and Andrew Schauble got Arnold Schwazenegger so we dubbed him the Terminator. Jude and Jason Ball got Jake and Elwood (The Blues Brothers) as they have John and James Belushi covered.

    it's a long drive
Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release
    We need
    Love and peace
