    White Line Fever- Jude Bolton

Watched the rerun of this show last night and Jude Bolton was the star.
He was very good with lots of questions from Swans supporters.

Clinton wasn't too bad but always feel he doesn't give a damn about Swans.

Bolton did let slip I think, in a reply to a question re Rogers - what is happening?
Replied he will debut at the MCG this weekend - only a slip up but could be correct if Maxfield doesn't play and can maybe move O'Keefe to midfield.

Just my thoughts but we will see.

Swans seem to grooming Rogers as a backman, not a forward. It is also a position they have been trialling LRT in over the last couple of senior games, with moderate returns. If Rogers comes in I suspect it will in place of Lewis.

If Maxfield misses - and the club is saying he would play - they surely wouldn't replace him with another tall, especially with talk of rain. Ablett would probably come in for Maxfield if required.

Troy G has just confirmed he's in.

I can't wait for this. We've been watching his progress since NSO and he's a strong boy. I was particuarly impressed with him on Saturday afternoon, One of the Ainslie players was man handling one of our young fill in players and Aaron went to his defence with a bit of push and shove and gave the guy and the ump a mouthfull and then outplayed the same gorilla for the rest of the game. It happened in front of us and of course I had to encourage Aaron a little.

With his strong body, he'll be an asset to the backline this week.

Plough was pretty good as well. Unlike most of the 'experts' he has a lot of time for the Swans.

Grybas is a boring, C/wood supporting ####, kept on trying to ambush Jude on salary cap concessions etc.

Almost ruined some interesting call. He and Anthony Hudson. How did they get a job?

Jude was interesting, thought his form was ordinary

Reckon you're a bit unfair re: Clinton & Sydney ... I've emailed him a coupla times, mainly re: tv coverage up here. He's always been very polite & helpful, and replies from his direct email address (not "[email protected]") which most wouldn't do.

He also promised to push Wayne Jackson last year re the Friday night tv as the first question when Wayne was on WLF - and he stuck to his word.

Also I reckon he's the best main commentator on Fox Footy (mainly cos the other 2 main ones that do Sat arvo & Sat night are so ****house!).

He simply asked Jude whether the salary cap was justified, and then allowed him to answer, nodding (seemingly agreeing) as Jude was saying that until you get up here you can't really understand the need for it. Hardly an ambush.

I actually like Grybas, and think his show is one of the more watchable ones out there.

What has the salary cap got to do with Jude Bolton????????

Jude's face when the question was asked summed it up

It has everything to do with him. If people want a little perspective on whether the retention/cost of living allowance (I don't know what they call it) is justified, the people that would know about it would be the players. Bolton is a particularly good example because he's from outside Sydney, and not only has to cover the cost of living in Sydney from wherever he was before, but also may (at some stage) feel the pull to return home.

It's a significant issue for the club, and I don't see why the players shouldn't comment on it when it is about them in the first place.

What exactly would Jude's expertise be on the cost of living in Sydney?

Surely living in Sydney makes one an expert on the cost of living in Sydney?

I do not think that there was anything inherently wrong with what Grybas was asking but I do think that he was on a fishing expedition.

I think that Jude answered the question well.

                              You're wasting your time Reggi.

Of course it was a fishing expedition, designed to make Jude uncomfortable. He answered the question well, so some think it was justified.
