Footy Show still manages to ignore us.

I would of thought that the Syd v Ess was one of the bigger games of the weekend behind the obvious Saints v Brians and would get decent coverage.

    Silly me.

I am still ignoring the Footy Show ..............haven't watched it since I moved to Melbne in 2001.

It is an exercise in conceit, self promotion and scarcely veiled politic-ing, why would ANYONE, especially a Swans Fan watch the bloody stuff?

It's not just the lack of interest they show in Sydney that annoys me. I'm probably even more annoyed at how Eddie and Sam grill the players, trying to get the back page headline the next day. It is because of their constant questions beyond reason that got Hird into trouble and has since caused other players and coaches to be cautious. It is all footy politics from Eddie, who acts more like the Collingwood president on the Footy Show than ever.

I'M still ignoring the Eddie show, can't believe its still on TV, Eddie must've made sure the ratings forms for last season all went to Collingwood supporters.

I won't watch it either. Facile crap really. The format is tired and repetitive. Eddie adds nothing. John Newman is a pathetic sight and has run out of jokes. That 'comedian' is third rate and the football player 'panel' are in the main useless foils for the others.

I turned it off last night after they did Sydney. I thought it was because I was just tired, but I was ready to throw the remote at the telly last night. I'm to see I'm not the only one who thought that. And yes it has been better in past weeks.

I've stuck with TF despite its rapid decline this year, and I swear that they managed to get through the whole of Tuesday's show without saying the word 'Sydney' even once. The Crows hardly got a look in either, although they were mentioned in the context of being Richmond's opponents in the 'spitting game'.

I watched TF and decided to count the number of times 'Sydney' was mentioned. I think it was actually one - when they said "the votes for the Melbourne v. Sydney game."

Have we been discussed at all in the first five weeks of the season on TF?

Of course Sir Edd mentioned it was on saturday night .. I doubted myself for a millisecond - before thinking no, he was wrong AGAIN!
