    Tigers match

Sunday will be a real indicator of where we are at. Anything but a convincing victory and I will be incredibly disappointed.

Richmond are a rabble and if we can't put them to the sword, it says more about us than about them.

After two losses, we need to come out and make a statement.

They get Stafford and Richo back for this game. That should make them more competitive but I agree. If we don't win all of the next 4 games - Tigers, Weagles (in WA), Hawks and Doggies - then it's going to be a short September.

The competition is going to be close amongst about 10 teams this year. If we don't win all the games against the lesser teams we'll fall off the pace. Look how we disposed of Freo but they are now two games ahead of us.

Anything less than a comfortable 4-5 goal victory will mean that we still have a lot of work to do IMHO.

              I agree.

Ill be backing them to win at either:
25+ on the NSW TAB or
40+ with SportsBet in the NT
              depending on the odds.

I hope Maxfield gets in Richo's face like he did last year at the 'G.

He manage to chest Richo, get knocked on his arse, get the free kick and Richo spat the dummy and that was the end of his nite.

Very Funny. Happened right in front of me, everyone around was p..sing themselves including the Tiger supporters.

Could not walk at after match, nothing like regular post match soreness, crippled, if he plays he will have been injected, mind you probably was for last two weeks.

Looked like groin to me, not sure how his old hip injury would appear.

Have a look at the current state of the ladder and the teams that we have played - we have only played one team in the bottom 8 (Geelong). Freeo have played 5 of them (from their 6 games). As long as we play at the level we have been playing, or better, our ladder position is going to start improving rapidly.

Well the part of the hip which was injured was an attachment to the groin. By coming back in three weeks from a six week injury he has probably placed great strain on his groin which has been a problem area. The flair up would mean prolonged rest or playing on needles again. It's a matter of whether the medical team if thinking long-term or short-term. The latter and he may have a very short career. The former and he won't play much this year but he may be able to have another couple of quality seasons. Richmond has erred on the side of caution with Coughlan.
