    Essendon flooded forward and back on Saturday, one of the reasons we took to the flanks. Why wouldn't they? It clogs our run from defence. We tried the huddle to break it up but it did not really work. With Doyle Goodes and Ball around, the first time we have had three talls fit for a while, we still do not seem to to be able to take a mark around the fifty, does anyone remember even one on Saturday? We just do not seem to be able to adjust quickly enough when our natural game is stopped.

    I cannot agree with post re Fletcher vs Hall, Hall murdered Fletcher, almost any kicks Fletcher got were from miskicks where they fell to him and on at least two occasions Ball got the ball twisted and stepped and Fletcher simply fell over. Ball played him perfectly leading him out and not letting him get those long arms around him. Does Fletcher EVER take a contested mark?

        I don't think Essendon flooded. They played man-on-man.

        This is one of the key things that stopped our run and made us chip the ball around.
        Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
