Also, we know which ones we don't like.

Are there any standouts that we DO like?

Stevic is a new umpire - will be doing just his fourth game. The other two have been around awhile.

I think Bryan Sheehan used to give us a fair go.

I have a problem with Schitt (and yes, that's a typo on purpose) - never gives us a fair go.

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

            Totally agree Mike.
The two I shudder at are Schmidt and Goldspink.

Schmitt is an absolute joke!! Never given us a fair go at home. Why do we always get stuck with him??

Speaking of umpires, it's nice to see that S&Don are still getting a free ride.
Last night it was the Dogs turn to put up with it.

I hardly think 7-18 in the free kicks is a free ride. Perhaps a few dodgy ones, but nothing significant or match turning.

True, although over on that venerable site, BF, the Bomber fans seem to think they were hard done by because they only got 7. I thought there were soft / dodgy ones in both directions and didn't think either team was unduly favoured despite the numerical discrepancy. Rawlings did get one against his that was very similar to the one played against Goodes in Q2 last week.

Question for someone: Where the umpire calls "play on" after acknowledging a free, are these included in the free kick statistics? If not, this might help explain why the Bombers officially got so few last night. Watching the game they seemed to be getting more but did play on to advantage quite often.

I believe even where the umpire plays advantage, the free kick is still counted in the stats, however I say this with no great certainty.
