Kick it long to Barry Hall

We should bring back the mega flood for the moment.Not for defensive reasons but to force our backline to run.With the flood there will be no short kick options so Leo, Tadgh, and the midfielders will have to run handpass and run until they get in range of kicking to Goodes one out who will in turn have Barry one on one within kicking distance.Our forwards should be told not to lead to within 50 metres of the ball carrier forcing him to kick long.
The other teams seem to do it.Richmond outnumbered us when we were in attack and when they transfered the ball they had a lovely open forward line in which Richardson killed us.
I have assumed we will never win a clearance so everything has to be set up from the backline.If we do win a clearance we have an open forward line.
Solved. Onward to victory.

Good thoughts. tho' I think the last time we kicked long with any regularity was when Dennis Caroll was Playing!!

There was a thread this time last year complaining about the Swans kicking long too often and turning over possession.
