    Only way is up??

If we win next week we are 4-4 and can put these past three weeks behind us.
Maybe we are now where people thought we were a year ago except its come a year late.

I think the problems have come in part due to -
*Key injuries have caused us to come unstuck
*Other coaching staffs have worked us out and we have no Plan B.
    *Skills aren't quite there

Missing Schauble, Schneider and Magic isn't helping and how many of our 22 out there today were playing with injuries??? Doesn't help when many of the players aren't 100%

Our half back line is our key especially on the SCG. Other teams are now paying Brett Kirk, Leo Barry and Ben Mathews the respect they deserve but other players aren't stepping up.

It was pretty apparent today that many of the were lacking confidence Goodes especially. It is taking forever for us to get the ball from one end of the field to the next and its never down the centre.

Our Forward 50s probably surpassed Richmond's but every time we went down there it was so predictable and they just mopped up.

Paul Williams was culpable today in terms of his disposals. For a player of his quality to kick the ball straight to the oppositon as many times as he did is a sheer disgrace. He for one is clearly down on form.

Where to from here for Roosy? Sadly, I don't think we have the depth which would allow us to play some guys in the two's.

Prehaps do what Carlton did last week and give the players greater input into the planning.

    I agree.

We need Plan B. Some of us have said this for past 3-4 weeks.

It would be very useful if Schneider played more in the middle, providing long and direct delivery to Forward line (before his injury). Roos should encourage Maxfield to kick it long, after all long kicking is his strength. This may help him regain some confidence. I would also like to see Kirk kicking long and direct as was the case in 4Q Geelong game.

Barry Hall is in a menacing form at the moment. He may not be a great mark, however he will definitely make a contest (Essendon match): We have very mobile and skillful players ready to scoop up.
    A softie for Matthew Nicks

    Bring back Schuabs!

That is a big IF. West Coast at Subiaco with their midfield of Cousins, Kerr, Fletcher and Judd would carve us up the way we're going. The only saving grace is that Gardiner is out injured.
