    Premiership Club Ha Ha

Yep sure hope they spend my Premiership Club membership wisely.

Premiership club and the Sydney Swans: if that aint the definition of ultimate optimism then can someone please tell me what is? Or perhaps its just blind stupidity on my part to think that in my lifetime such an insurance policy would be needed.

    Petition for a refund anyone?
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

The extra scarf was useful yesterday.

Didn't have the heart to go to the post-match function and felt like hiding my $75 grand-final scarf on the train home.

All I can say is sucked in. These sort of memberships while good earner, are really optimistic for my likely. Anyway, why pay $70 to make sure of a Grand Final ticket, when you could of paid $30 and joined the Cheer Squad and got the same bonus.

              I told a friend I purchased a $75 scarf.

A bit harsh Robbie. I love the cheer squad (an enjoyed being part of it all at the Gabba), but I don't want to sit there. I like sitting where I do, I don't want to sit behind the goals. How would becoming a cheer squad member just to gain GF tickets go down with you guys who slog it out every week trying to lift the team with your chants, only to be abused and ridiculed.

              Not too well I'm guessing.

Smart club Sydney - they pounced and offered the Premiership club after one flukey good season. I bet they don't get many suckers next year.

Rebuilding Anne, rebuilding. Right now the scaffolding is looking a bit shakey. But you know that if you pass it up for next year you'll miss out on being there for Sydney's first ever flag.

I don't think we have that much to rebuild with. But I will still pay the $75. I just look at it as my gambling money. The odds of Sydney winning the flag and me winning lotto are about the same.

Have a look at the list. That's still the same team that we thought was set for the top four a few weeks ago. Except for a few new players - and most of those have played better than some of the regulars. They have the skills but they've forgotten that, too. They're not bad, they just play that way.

But we have to win 11 of the next 15 games I reckon. To do that, the team mood has to change soon. How quickly our faith in Roos and the team have faded. Was the Geelong game where the self doubts started?

Problem is that using the "rebuilding" and "young side" argument only goes so far.

What about players like Saddington (131 games), J Bolton (97), Fosdike (98)?

We have plenty of players over 50 games.

In fact, under 50 games, our young players are Ablett (12), Buchanan (7), Doyle (24), Fixter (24), James (13), McVeigh (6), Powell (6), LRT (20), Rogers (1), Schneider(28).

Only a few of these look 'likely' although a couple of others might pop up too.

However, given that there aren't that many really young guys in our regular side, the "rebuilding" tag is a bit tenuous.

A season is a long time, and the teams that are front-runners early on so often don't make the distance. I'm not admitting that I've wasted $75 for no reason yet.

I am happy to pay the extra money to have guaranteed access to the Grand Final. I didn't buy it thinking we were dead certs anyway!.

Still in the 8, still a chance.....

And to think just one month ago we were lauding the depth of the side.

"Depth" I would suggest is one of the most misunderstood or misused terms in our game.
