    Coaching tactics

It was interesting to hear Peter Scwab say that he thought his spray at 3/4 time may have cost the Hawks the game. It must be very tempting to do - though Roos would have been better off with a cattle prod at the Tigers game - but I wonder how often it is effective to lift the team across the line?

There was a suggestion that Roos lost his cool a bit at 3/4 time in the Tigers match and gave them a spray. Don't know how true this is but if it, it may have contributed to them panicking or whatever it is that happened on Sunday.

Stuey said Roos' instructions at 3/4 time went in one ear and out the other. I think that just about sums up what happened.

it mustve been a pretty short spray coz all i can recollect from 3/4 time was how they were huddled in, in a tight bunch ampin each other up

Depends on the players attitude on the day I think, we seemed to put in the token 5 minutes effort in the last quarter, got back in front then relaxed again.

Maybe it would have been better to start the last quarter 2 goals down, like we did against Geelong.
