    The ladder is still open

Just a few thoughts on what's riding on this weekend.

    Here's the current ladder:
    Team Pt. %
    St Kilda 28 147.2
    Melbourne 24 141.2
    Brisbane 20 131.2
    Port Adelaide 20 125.3
    Fremantle 20 113.3
    Essendon 20 97.5
    Sydney 12 108.8
    Geelong 12 100.1

    Kangaroos 12 93.0
    Carlton 12 87.7
    Richmond 12 75.2
    Adelaide 8 91.8
    W. Bulldogs 8 88.2
    West Coast 8 86.0
    Hawthorn 4 76.4
    Collingwood 4 74.4

    Round 8:-Eade?s tips:
    Essendon
    Richmond
    Sydney
    Brisbane Lions
    St Kilda
    Fremantle
    Melbourne
    Port Adelaide

If Rodney Eade?s tips are correct: (I?ve left the % unchanged)
    St Kilda 32 147.2
    Melbourne 28 141.2
    Brisbane 24 131.2
    Port Adelaide 24 125.3
    Fremantle 24 113.3
    Essendon 24 97.5
    Sydney 16 108.8
    Richmond 16 75.2

    Geelong 12 100.1
    Kangaroos 12 93.0
    Carlton 12 87.7
    Adelaide 8 91.8
    W. Bulldogs 8 88.2
    West Coast 8 86.0
    Hawthorn 4 76.4
    Collingwood 4 74.4

On current form, I can?t see the Lions or Aints losing. But the Bombers and the Dees could (and, in a surprise upset Freo or Port). And let?s say the Doggies do too ? must be about time. If all that happened, the ladder would look like this:

    St Kilda 32 147.2
    Melbourne 24 141.2
    Brisbane 24 131.2
    Port Adelaide 20 125.3
    Fremantle 20 113.3
    Essendon 20 97.5
    Sydney 16 108.8
    Geelong 16 100.1

    Kangaroos 16 93.0
    Adelaide 12 91.8
    Carlton 12 87.7
    Richmond 12 75.2
    W. Bulldogs 12 88.2
    West Coast 8 86.0
    Hawthorn 8 76.4
    Collingwood 4 74.4

Just one game between 4th and 9th. The Aints look set to do what Port has done the past two years but depending on the results this weekend, the field is pretty open. Of course, if Eade is right, except the Swans lose then we?ll just be in the eight on percentages.
Working...
