    Fosdike's goal

Not too sure if the mark he took was a "play on" as he was close but not all that close to Hall when he took the mark. But all I remember is screaming "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" when he played on. OK he got the goal, but to me that was really silly play.

Maybe havingn a bit of faith in himself is a good thing, but Football 101 would dictate that if you take a mark within 10 metres of goal and you have someone marking you, unless you are a dead set goal sneak, you should line up.

Definitely called "play on" by the ump.....don't know whether for touched or not 15.

    Very cool goal.

I'm going to start a new club called the "Play Fossy in the pocket 'cos he's pretty handy there glee-meisters."

      Very cool goal.

The commentators called it "not 15" straight away. Thought Fozzie showed great awareness of what was happening, plus the skill to pull it off.

Fosdike in the forward pocket for a while might not be a bad idea. He's trying his heart out in the midfield but isn't giving us much around the packs. Matera showed today just how valuable a small, goal smart player can be around the goal square and we would definitely benefit from having someone crumb around Hall, O'Loughlin and co. Buchanan seems to be being played in the midfield (and is doing OK at clearances).

I've always liked the Fosdike's creativity, even though sometimes he tries for too much and doesn't execute the basics properly. The cost/benefit down forward may be better. He also has the speed and fitness to provide some chase of the defenders out of our forward line, something that Davis and O'Loughlin weren't able to do today.
