    A Captains Role

Got to say I was extremely disappointed with Stuey yet again - sorry mate but it's not good enough from our captain. Quite simply I don't see him constantly inspiring / talking up / encouraging his team-mates, but most of all leading from the front. He should walk off the ground every week beyond reproach and he's not.

I use the word "constantly" because in a 15 minute period he demonstarted how a captain should act. When Kirk was hit, the first player on the scene was Maxfield right up in Kerr's face. Two minutes later he makes a brilliant spoil, and for 15 minutes we were all over them - fired up, on top and led by our captain....

That's what I want to see from the skipper for four quarters - week in and week out. He's capable of it - I know he's no Voss or Hird (or Kelly for that matter) and the point I'm trying to make is not to make comparisons - but he has to lift his game, and lead from the front.
    Regards,

I was very happy to see him more involved in the game than previously but the thing I can't believe is how his kicking has gone backwards. Nearly every single kick form Stuey is an up and under (similar from Willo) and the direct result of this is that we really struggle to get a possession at half forward....

Contrast aith the Eagles who were constantly hitting their leading half forwards on the chest with a Swan only two steps behind.

O'Keefe had to wait for an up and under nearly every time. God it was so frustrating.

Maxfield should resign and retire with dignity. He is a spent-force. The sooner Maxfield is gone, the better for us to plan for the future.
