As someone once posted before about Crouchy (maybe on a previous incarnation of this board) he'd play on a leg he'd made himself out of Lego before he missed a game

      And this one

Incidentally I think it will be interesting to see what our guys can do against perhaps the best centre-square combination (Everett, Mitchell, Crawford etal) in the league.

Well Davo's injury status just about sums up the Swan's injury list, doesnt it! On Tuesday no sign of his name anywhere to be seen on that verifiable list, on wednesday Roos comes out and says he wont play due to his thigh injury.

Why bother having a list? It's always wrong.

IMO goodes being listed is smoke and mirrors. i would love to be wrong and have him back but even if he was OK you reckon they would want to have him 100% before risking him.

i think they want Schwab to spend time thinking of a possible matchup. Leigh matthews does it all the time.

My biggest concern is not the Hawks forwards or onballers but Joel Smith, last year he utterly killed Barry Hall ~ and we realy need at least 5 or 6 from hime this week!

The pic alongside the Jason Ball article in the SMH today showed Adam Goodes training regularly, apparently - not even a bandage! They said it was taken yesterday.

                warfe listed!

FWIW, i would like to see kirk on mitchell - the speed is not that different and kirk will be taken to the contest rather than away from it

league teams stated that mitchell had 13 clearances last time we played them!!!

I noticed that as well. Looked like he was participating in a standard kicking drill...jogging off a standing start, receiving a pass and then kicking short...

Then again...we saw O'Loughlin doing that same drill for weeks wihtout ever looking like playing a game.

Sydney must be one of the worst sides with regard to late withdrawls. I've lost count of the number of times in recent years we've had a player under an injury cloud named, and then miss not only that week but the next three or four.

But what about Kels shock return one week!!! He wasnt even listed, flew to Perth (IIRC vs Freo) and ran on with the team. Noone knew what the hell was going on and he played a killer game taking a speccie, but i think we lost that one, just.

Goodesy will take the field, no doubts about it.

Besides that one mark and a goal, he did little else that game.

I still worry about the long-term prospects of Goodes if he plays this weekend...

Playing the next week didn't seem to do Jared any harm. Can't we have some faith that the Swans wouldn't put Goodes up if it was likely that it could cost his season? (And please don't bookmark this.)

No. Having seen many players come back too early I have little faith in any clubs, including ours, to do the right thing by injured players.

he hasnt been playing that well this year and has been playing alot on the HBF due to his back injury

or how about battle of the hacks - warfe vs (yeah i dont know if there is anyone in warfe's class)
