    Jason Saddington = my hero

I just had to say it. It has taken guts jumping into the ruck the past two games.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I thought his first qtr was really good, although he faded a bit after that, but still some return to form, which is good.

He did alright but at times Campbell easily tapped it to Mitchell and co with ease. Stop gap measure only. I hope Doyle, Meiklejohn or LRT returns soon.

Yep well done to Saddo, he played ok.

He is so much better when he doesn't have to be totally accountable.

Pretty subjective. The same could be said for Spider over Ball.

I agree it should only be a stop gap sort of thing.

IMHO Saddo has really turned things around in the past few weeks. Yes, he still has room for improvement, but he's been pretty good. Today, he seemed to pop up where he was needed and provided a useful option around the ground, plus at least tried to play a stop-gap role in the ruck.

On a separate note, for me, Saddo and Bazza would have to have the cleanest hands on a bouncing ball in our lineup. Saddo seems to fumble around a fair bit less than many other of our on-ballers which is probably another factor counting against us this year - the extra efforts taken to get clean possession before being able to dispose of the ball.

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Jason had the ball right in front of us when the final siren sounded and I've just gotta say I love him. The reaction and the way he's been playing it was just wonderful.

              Go Jas.

Jason has had a welcome return to form - we can't label him as a backman anymore - he is the pure definition of an utility player and is best played roaming the ground from the right wing.

How long have we been saying Saddington should be permanently up forward. You can see his confidence going sky high when he is able to move around without having to worry about an opponent, and because he has learned defensive skills he works hatrd to keep the footy in our forward line.

Just leave him up forward, and it looks like Goodes will play in the backline a fair bit in the short term, so that adds much needed height back there.

I never thought I'd say this but Saddo and Nicks are doing a great job as steadiers for the whole team. When the ball goes to either of them they nearly always take it well and dispose of it to advantage. Who'd a thought it?

yeah probably a fitness thing. Hard to ruck when you aren't used to it. Definitely a different aerobic capacity required.

Probably one of his best games for a while!!!

I hope that sticks it to all the doubters and Saddo bashers!!
