Is it just me or is does anyone think Roos is hitting the whinge factor just a little too hard with these sorts of issues. No doubt he is just answering the medias questions but there is a lot of focus on his umpies comments recently, might be an idea to focus on the footy Roosy.

Roosy made a few remarks about the colour choice, and the Journo used the word "slammed" to describe those remarks. That's not Roosy having a whinge, that's the journo using emotive terminology. Change the word "slammed" to "criticised" and read the article again. Does Roosy still sound like a whinger when you do that?

Know what you're saying but I'm giving Roos a bit of credit to not be naiive enough to not know it's going be blown up.
I think he knows what he's doing but I doubt he want a rep. as a whinger.

Hardly a whinge . It was a legitimate criticism

I can't see how colour conflicts are allowed to happen at this professional level

Many years ago I played park soccer (more dogs than people watching the game you know the standard ) . In our comp the refs knew next weeks draw. If the ref thought that 2 teams colours were too close he would tell the away team manager that his team had to wear an alternate strip next game

No arguments allowed . If you wanted to do a Collingwood we only ever play in black and white stripes " well you could always forfeit if you'd rather do that than play in an away strip

Refs had 2 jerseys one all-white and one all-black

            Pretty simple .

So if an 80's park soccer comp could get it right why cant multi-million dollar AFL !!!1

Sorry NMW...couldn't find the quote from Sunday when the AFL operations manager pretty much declared that the decision was correct.

Making no apologies, or even acknowledging that there was a problem at all, Anderson explained that white had been ruled out, and that the Swans had asked the Umpires never to wear orange or red to their games...so by default Yellow was the correct call.

But Gieschen finally came out on Tues and admitted it was an error:

"Gieschen yesterday said the league had erred in using the yellow informs. "We think we would be best to go in white," he said. His comments contradicted those of league operations manager Adrian Anderson, who on Sunday defended the decision."

                Thanks Alec.

I think Anderson is an idiot!! God help the AFL if he becomes CEO.
