    Reserves

I know Bam Bam will post a detailed report in good time but while we're in the mood for celebrating, people might like to know that the reserves posted an impressive victory today. I only arrived at half time and they already had 20 goals on the board, and the second half was a bit scrappy, so will leave comments on individuals to Bam Bam (apart from Thewlis who played the best footy in the second half that I have seen him play). Their final goal tally was 28 something to 11 something.

But Powell scored 6 goals, Potter 5 and Willoughby either 3 or 4.

On the strength of that, you' d think that Powell will get elevated again against the doggies. NOGgy & McVeigh didn't put the hand on it much .. and Warfey (gasp) ... ???????? two v.ordinary touches.

So Powell will come in and be expected to play a predominantly defensive role after kicking 6 in the 2's. Just like what has happened before to Heath James, LRT and others. Unfortunately with only a couple of clubs providing strong opposition in the Canberra league, playing the guys on the fringe of selection up forward is the only way they will see a lot of the ball.

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
