I wouldn't say he successfully takes care of key forwards by any stretch of the imagination...but i will say he is a better defensive player than Smith.

Perhaps I didn't clarify myself - i meant Smith has been far more effective for rebounding footy this year and is someone who needs to be looked after. Perhaps a player will have to scrifice their game to keep smith under wraps.
Although to be fair on Barry he has been doing more defensive work this year in Schuables absense and Tadgh hasn't picked up slack.

Just thought it was a little harsh on Leo, after putting Williams and Croad out of business last weekend.

But I agree with your judgement that Smith needs stopping, perhaps O'keefe could be given that role (perhaps he could redeem himself for the appalling effort against Richmonds Campbell?)

His performance on williams was outstanding considering he has been the hawks best forward this year, kicking 5 goals a couple of weeks back and backing it up last week with 4 odd goals again.

Is there a shred of relevance in these sort of posts?

              From the Age Wednesday:

Bulldogs chief executive Campbell Rose told The Age on Monday the club would review its Sydney home-game proposal after this weekend, with a final decision expected after the Darwin game, once the financial and footballing results were known.

Meanwhile, Rohde said Jade Rawlings had recovered well following the weekend's win over Carlton, after he had minor knee surgery during the week.

The Bulldogs will regain backman Brian Harris this week after suspension, while Adam Cooney could also return after a week in the VFL.
