Melbourne had to pass the hat around to afford an extra night in Sydney so I will say with confidence they will not be playing in London.

I would give you 100 to 1 that the Swans would not play the dogs in Darwin, absolutely no chance of that happening.
The two games will come from WA and SA and particulary SA as they get all the Crows & Power games live along with the SAFL game of the week.

From what I heard at the after-match in Perth there is no way the Bulldogs home match is going to be moved from Sydney. And that was from people very much in the know.Originally posted by Alec
Maybe now that the AFL has provided them some grants to offset their debts they feel they can afford to give up the $200k they potentially reap from Syd matches?
This could be a good thing for them in that they no longer feel the money is more important than the 4 pts.
I'd be interested to know what sort of revenue playing to a field lined with parked cars in NT could possible bring to the club, though. How important could a "base" up there be?

Well maybe they could do it if it was before the half season break (Rnd13/14) - so both could be rested???Originally posted by anne
I am currently in Darwin. Any team who plays a game up here would be a wreck the following week. I would hate it to be Sydney. It is a slightly longer flight from Sydney than it is from Melbourne.Adelaide teams would be the obvious opposition.Good men do good deeds. Evil men do evil deeds. But it takes religion for a good man to do evil deeds.Comment

Put Jules in (especially if it goes via a Munich soccer match) and we're got ourselves a road movie. "Red and White on the Road and off the Rails" perhaps?Originally posted by Bart
Fair enough, but would Peter Hatley drive there ?Comment
