Swans want Dogs to feel right at 'home'

I think the most important part of this article for this weekend was the following excerpt.

"Forward Nick Davis is set to return to the Swans line-up for Saturday night's game after completing the main training session yesterday. Defender Rowan Warfe is the player most likely to make way. "

    No suprise there!!!!

Let's hope he is fully fit and has not done JUST enough to pass the fitness test.

I disagree with you. I think the most important part of the article is the following excerpt"

"Swans chief executive Myles Baron-Hay said he was aware the Bulldogs were planning to review their Sydney match but hoped the mutual benefits for both clubs would be taken into consideration and the arrangement would continue.

"From their point of view they have the chance to showcase themselves in Sydney and there is a financial benefit," Baron-Hay said. "From our perspective we get another home game which is obviously a plus for the fans up here.""

If this quote is correct it clearly shows the Swans are placing their Melbourne fans...a...distant..........second.

I disagree with both of you. After watching the Hawks game on video last night I'd say the most important line is: "Defender Rowan Warfe is the player most likely to make way". We're two goals up already!

Gunn, that is a little premature to say.

We still don't know what discussions have been had between the club and the AFL on the subject of Melbourne games. It may be a situation where the Swans are confident of getting the 6 games in Melbourne they want and also being able to let the Dogs host a game at the SCG.

We need to wait until submissions are made by all clubs to the AFL for next years draw and make sure that we have a concerted effort by Melbourne members to contact the club to let them know our feelings on the matter before our wish list is submitted and debated with the AFL.

I have already asked the club what date draw submissions are due to the AFL for next year and will make that date and key contact details widely known so people can voice their opinion.

we also need to consider whether MBH was quoted directly and exactly. I'm sure the media wouldn't edit his response to suit themselves or for collum length would they?
