    2 seats O'Reilly

OK, my opportunity for magnanimity .. (takes deep breath) ..

I have 2 seats spare in a great position on the wing in the "O'Reilly Reserved" to go to any Melbourne RWOers in town today who have yet to buy their way in.

If anyone is online and know of RWOers in Sydney (without tickets) and can contact them on the mobe etc, send me a PM with a contact number, and let's see what we can arrange.

PS: This is gratis, no $$ needed.
PPS: Melbourne travellers have priority but if no takers by say .. 5-6pm .. I'm happy to go local.
Good men do good deeds. Evil men do evil deeds. But it takes religion for a good man to do evil deeds.

Thanks hemsleys .. I'll post with more time available next time - problem being it was a last minute change of plan.

Ok, the story ends this way ..

.. front up to the ticket sales area feeling like some kind of finals scalper, looking for any "couples" in red and white. With five minutes before ball up it's tick .. tick .. tick .. Zoom in on two who say they're students and when I suggest a tenner apiece for what is an over the counter $58 ticket, one says she's a student and eyes me suspiciously. Don't blame her. Next up, these guys approach and look a little unsure of everything near the booth. Turns out they're german, and i suddenly remember why I'm here - to do the lotto thing and give someone a win BEFORE the match!

They turn out to be designers (like my previous life) and I wheel them up to the O'Reilly with that splendiferous view across the wing, cool zephyr on the back of the neck. All game long, small interpretations and explanations of the rules, much to the amusement of the regulars around us. But how hard is it to understand anyway? I told them that "hell, it's been said that people actually fall in love with the game" (and some of the players, Bron!)

They walked away happy, and I was fed (2 lip-burners with sauce) and watered (3 beers). Got to be happy with that .. oh, yes ... the win!!

Nice story ... I really enjoy taking newbies to the game ... we found a lone canadian at the NSO game and took him through it ... he had a hoot.

At a corporate thing once, I had a man say after to my husband that his wife had said she never thought she could have so much fun at a corporate event! (???) I had the lot of them practicing the song, lining up for the big ROOOOS, yelling Ball, etc. (this was obviously a while ago!)
