Healy at HFF and Lewis on the bench.

Tony Morwood on the other HFF and Maxfield on the bench.

Stevie Wright was a forward and rover, not a back pocket.

        Good discussion points!

Healy for Schwass, Toohey would have to be in the defence, Morwood for Lewis, Carter would have to get a guernsey for Schaubs. Agree re Stevie Wright with NMWBloods, forward or interchange.

Kickett, Ackerley, Bernie Evans, Browning, Paul Williams would have to be considered. Moose Henwood too use we lack characters in this collection.

Personally Stafford, Jude, Schaubs, Lewis would not make it.

Who would coach? I suggest Spanner Spence who was an assistant under Tom Hafey!

Now how about the worst in no particular order!

My suggestions Allison Gaspar Taubert Picken Daffy Bomford Doolan Nettlebeck Russell.

Coach Buckenara - Assistant Col Kinnear
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun

Most posters will be too young to remember, but years ago - possibly the early 80s, there was a computer generated fight between Muhammad Ali & Rocky Marciano.

Anyhow, years after one dying and the other retiring this thing was put together to see who would really have won a ding-dong between them.

Imagine if the same thing could be done with this "best of" team in this thread.

Paul Williams has won two B&F out of three completely seasons at the club. Unless you're counting him out on the basis of not enough time spent at the club, surely he'd get a guernsey ahead of someone like Lewis?

Merv Neagle, Gerard Healy and Paul Williams would not even ask Steve Wright to carry their bags.

                  My team:

                  Capper Lockett Goodes
                  O'Laughlin Hall Bayes
                  Murphy G Williams Cresswell
                  Carrol Roos Schwass
                  Bayes Dunkley Toohey
                  Round Kelly Healy
                  Mitchell Morwood P Williams Wright
                  Emer: Stafford Maxfield Carter

Shannon Grant would have been in my team had he stayed, though he has played his best footy with the Roos.

Luffy - Would be interesting to see your best team, from an ex players point of view and someone still around the club.

Now Merv Neagle - there was a seriously classy player. Sheedy was talking about highly talented players he had coached the other week, only named 2 or 3, and included Neagle.

This exercise is pointless unless we set some standard, as in must have played x games.

Daffy played 1 match. Tingay didn't even get to play one. Jeez Rocca looked good in the few matches he did play for us.

Ah Brent Green. Dolph Lundgren lookalike.

Hang on. You cant have a worst team without mentioning Donkey Myles. I take it personally that he was allowed to wear the red and white. Damn he was hopeless.
