some punter had 90k on the Saints to beat Carlton for an 8k return (funny how the other half live, hey?)

Sounds like a lot of money to risk...but then again that Eight grand tells the tale in the end.

Swans have to be worth a punt, if you're so inclined.

Like Insurance you should never bet what you cannot afford to lose.

I can put a few $ on the Swans and get pleasure or pain from it .. Hope your insurance does the same!
      No I haven't had insurance as I'm only 15.

I still don't see the point in betting though.

          lol.

By the time I've parked at the SCG and bought some drinks and food for my friends, hard to see where my "betting" money will be coming from.

(probably all for the best really)

More often than not when you buy a season ticket the Swans don't win a premiership.

If you are betting as a form of insurance then you should be betting against the Swans!!

At least when buying a season ticket you're contributing to the club not an overseas company employing people for a dollar an hour.

BRB, I am NOT getting into a discussion with a 15 year old about my love of a punt and the nags

$50 on the Swans at 25+ please

The way Hargrave rode Baz you must have combined all your interests on Saturday night?

And the last time I bet was on the Swans for the Port final. I'll put some money on them for Sunday - there's only two teams for goodness sake!

the last time I bet on the Swans it was also when they played Port. BUT it wasn't that game. It was the H&A game where we blitzed them in the first 1/2 but kicked like crap and were over run by them in the 2nd half. oh well that's why I don't usually bet.

Swansinger's! He told me he'd put $20 on us.

                              I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

That's the easiest cash I ever made; it was like stealing wheat off blind chooks.
