    Saddo's injury

I watched the game on TV yesterday (thanks to my FoxFooty subscribing mates). Anyone who is yet to watch a replay, have a look at Saddo when he gets injured.

He is in agony, carrying the ball, falling to the ground. You see him trying to think through the pain and just before he hits the deck he has a snap at the goal. Top effort Saddo.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

Seen the replay a fair few times, surely he could have held the ball and forced a ball up instead of kicking it to a dog?

Nah well done Saddo, be great when he's out on the park again.(not as a defender)

I'm with you Undy (Undy??). Great spirit to think - "first get goal, then deal with the unbelievable pain". Just imagine if it'd gone through!

Get well soon Saddo. And meanwhile enjoy the time at home with the new member of the family.

I noticed that and thought it was fantastic... on top of his willingness to go into the ruck because of (and considering!) the injury to Goodes. Gutsy stuff.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Would have been a goal too without the defender on the line!

Onya Saddo! Get well soon. And all the best to the missus and the new arrival!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I thought it went straight through the points.

You know how things seem to go in slow motion when you have a car accident. Well, thats how it was watching Saddo from the Noble stand. The foot plant, expression of anguish, look at goals, kick ball anyway. collapse in agony. Dead set shattering. but at the same time showing us how WRONG we are to bag our blokes when they are off form.

I was pretty impressed with the sportsmanship of the Bulldogs players. A couple of them went up to Saddo checking to see if he was ok.

Didn't Libba do his knee at the SCG some time ago as well? I seem to remember Kells coming up and planting a little kiss on the cheek after the incident. Must have been out of respect for that.
