Leave him alone. He hasn't had much to do this year. He is just letting people know that he is still around and he can get tough when he wants to. He has got to give his ego a run every now and then to justify his inflated fee.

Great, fantastic, but nearly caused a pile-up on the M4 when I heard on the 7pm news. Whooping and hollering at 120km/hr not recommended. Now official that listening to radio worse than talking on mobile when driving.

            Hall in the clear
            Sportal

Sydney forward Barry Hall is free to play against St Kilda at the SCG on Sunday after he was cleared at the AFL tribunal on Wednesday night. The 27-year-old was reported by AFL investigations officer Rick Lewis for striking Western Bulldogs' captain Chris Grant, but was not suspended as the tribunal believed there was not enough evidence. There was no video footage of the incident. Hall said after the hearing that he was 'pretty happy with the result' and when asked if he felt a sense of relief, he said: "(I'm) just looking forward to (playing) St Kilda."

AFL tribunal chairperson Brian Collis said the tribunal could not guess or speculate on the incident, when handing down the panel's verdict. "The tribunal must make its findings on the evidence given to us. We have to accept the fact that we didn't regard this as a behind the play incident," Collis said. "Both players have said in the maneuvering that forceful contact was made. Both players, however, were adamant that it was not a strike." "The contact that was made could have occurred in the maneuvering." Hall said he was 'shocked' to see Grant hit the turf during the last weekend's match, when giving his evidence. "Basically Chris Grant was trying to get front position. I'm not sure where I hit (him) but it wasn't in the head," Hall said. "I was definitely surprised to see him on the ground." "I just said that he should have a Grammy (sic) for his acting because he was trying to get a free kick." Although Grant said he was initially 'stunned' by the incident he said he quickly got to his feet and played out the rest of the game, adding that he was knocked in the shoulder and collarbone region. "If you get struck, it's more of a blow," Grant said. In an amusing hearing at times, Collis said the incident was a show of strength from both players and that there was no 'pussy-footing' around from either player.

A new category... errr... 'acting' at the Grammys??

              Very funny
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.

I sure hope so. Players usually play well against their old club!

I was walking past the tribunal at Southbank on the way to the theatre and was dismayed to see all the TV cars , reporters still there at 7pm. So I went up to the reporters and asked what happened. One guy said he got off - I cheered so loudly they looked at me as if I am an idiot. It's good to let them know that Sydney has supporters in Melbourne.

And the TAB have dropped the odds for Sydney to 4:1.

It wasn't a huge change considering the length of the odds...but Hall is a mtach winner, and arguably the most important player in our team.

Essentially I don't think we can win without Hall, and so the odds have adjusted to take that into account.
