Would love to see one of Dempster Mcglone debut .......similar how Bevan did against Brisbane .............I feel better getting a taste against a top notch apponent some young players thrive on the added pressure (ie Bevan). Then they really know what areas to focus on

not sure if this is the game to blood both youngsters. The pressure will be enormous so some experience would probably be more beneficial. However, if they do get picked, I hope they have blinders!

          Can't see either rookie playing.

James and Fosdike will come in for Saddo and Ablett.

One will come in for Davis, if Davis doesn't come up. I would rather Dempster in that case, just a bit more height never hurts.

I think they may have been included because of all the injuries we're having. I read somewhere we only had 26 fit players at the moment?

Sydney may enter its match against top-of-the-table St Kilda at the SCG on Sunday with two debutants - Sean Dempster and Scott McGlone.

Dempster and McGlone are among four additions the Swans have made for their round 11 fixture, along with Nic Fosdike and Heath James.

Fosdike returns after he was a late withdrawal last week due to an illness, while James is also in the mix to return after spending the past two matches in the AFL Canberra competition. All four players have been named on the provisional interchange.

Dempster, who is the son of former Swan Graham, is in his second season with the club after he was taken via the father-son rule at No.34 in the 2002 National AFL Draft.

The road for McGlone has been one of perseverance, as he was elevated from the Swans' rookie list last week. McGlone, 20, entered his third year on the club's rookie list in 2004, only after he was redrafted in the rookie draft last December.

As expected, key tall Jason Saddington is out of the side for the rest of the season after he injured his knee against the Bulldogs last round.

St Kilda has added three players to its squad and has yet to make any omissions for the clash against the Swans.

Coming into the initial team is midfielder Heath Black, veteran Justin Peckett and youngster Leigh Montagna.

The trio has been named on the extended interchange along with Andrew Thompson, Xavier Clarke, Jason Blake and Trent Knobel.

Black played the opening seven matches of the season, before he was suspended for two games for striking Fremantle's Dion Woods. Despite some good form in 2004, he was named an emergency last week.

Peckett, who is the second longest serving Saint behind Robert Harvey, played the first five games of 2004, but has since been playing for Springvale in the VFL.

And Montagna has added just one game to 14-game career and has been on the verge of selection this season, having been named an emergency on five occasions.

Who said he's not in consideration? Of course he is. I simply think he'll make way. Fosdike is a better contributor, and structure demands James is included.

I'm hoping that Fosdike lifts it to Cresswell-type proportions. Personally, I'm looking forward to Dempster getting a debut.

I agree Fozzie and James will play.

It would be a good inititiation for the debutants tho'.
