    maxfield

I'd have to admit that i was wrong when i thought that maxfield should be relegated to either the bench or the reserves earlier this year. He has been sensational since the richmond game. His disposal isnt perfect yet, but he never misses a tackle and sets the example with his attack on the ball.

Spot on! His last month has been fantastic and he has been getting better each week over that time, really leading from the front.

Good on ya for proving so many of us wrong who were talking of your demise Stuey!

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

good call except i think generally maxfield is an awesome kick his passes are pinpoint others may get 15-20 kicks to his 10 but today esepcially he runs quick and hits the forwards well

And his kicks are usually raking left footers to the advantage of a team mate or at the big sticks.

Only made one mistake, I remember, which led to a goal, but he had plenty of dash in those old legs today. Good to see.

Another sensational effort by Maxfield. He has got back that hard tackling and quick break free dash. His centre bounce work was good today.

I reckon he has changed his playing style back what it used to be.
I have noticed when he gets it he really sinks his boot into it,putting it deep in to our forward zone.

When he was going bad he was trying cute little dinky kicks, that often did not hit the target because it was against his natural game.

His long kicking really hurts the opposition.

Great to see him continue into some great form.

Very happy to have the doubters proved wrong. He was an inspiration today - hard, tough, and dangerous when he hit the ball at speed.

Outstanding performance by Maxfield. Really sets the tone for the team.

All of them brilliant and decisive. Finding his targets again now which we all love to see.

There was a tackle on Hamill that stood out.

Best is still yet to come. When Maxi is on fire, there are long goals involved from his boot.

I said it after the Hawks game, it seems that as Maxi gets better, so does the team's fortunes. He's an inspiration to the midfield as he sets the benchmark and that lifts everyone from Jude to the experienced Willo.

I must eat some humble pie regarding Maxfield. I thought he was finished, but am very glad he has proved me wrong.

I did stand by Nicksy though, so I guess I'm one all.
