As I'm sure Bam Bam's report will allude to, don't go slashing your wrists over that one.

We only had 11 listed players lining up. That leaves another 10 or 11 young top-up players with #50 on their back trying to contain a fairly good Canberra team.

I won't steal Bam Bam's thunder by listing who was in and who wasn't, her as usual expert report will spell it out, just don't beat yourselves up about the result.
Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09

And those 11 included Erikson, Potter, Davis, Willoughby, Taylor who are all first year players with young bodies playing against a strong team of men.

who was the tall reed of a ruckman (41??? he was playing FF with Rogers at the end of the last quarter...)
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

That's Erikson. Still very raw and doesn't like the physical stuff much but his improvement over the past couple of months has been substantial. Considered as a very long term project by the Swans so be prepared to give him time.

I missed the Reserves match but from what someone told me was there were a quite a few casualties from it.

When we are hit by injuries like we are at the moment, more than likely the reserves will have losses like this. The main thing is that it gives the young listed kids playing a chance to work out where they are in terms to the more adult game and long term this will be of more benefit to the kids, rather than getting 30 easy possessions. Anyway its not the match result that matters, but the individual players results. You find more out in a 100 point loss than a 100 point win.
