    Kick to Kick

And what a better way to finish a great game than kick to kick

SCG Trust only usually get brickbats but I remember the 1995 days when they actually confiscated signs saying "Why can't SCG kids kick on the ground?"

Now if they can start working on the traffic issues round there...

With the traffic outside, I'd have believed it.

Plus there were lots of people leaving in the last quarter as well. Like why do they even turn up if you don't want to know who wins.

no league on - but there was the working with wood show thingy on at Fox studios apparently, however I doubt that would have attracted a league size crowd - had a distinct skip in my step on the way to the car!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I didnt get there until the start of the 2nd quarter.

Coming up Anzac parade from the south, the green arrow turning right was on for only 7 seconds every 2 minutes 40 !!!!

Parking is crap at that ground. Public transport is crap. The area is just not designed to have a major football stadium. I hate it*.
            Give me telstra stadium anyday.

(Note * - I didnt hate it quite so much by 4pm)

Perhaps for you, but the buses that take people to and from Central are brilliant for anyone headed that way, much better than Arctic Park's trains.

For thiose who ride to the game (easily the best option) - the bike stands have been ripped out

I'll hassle the SCG Trust and Swans to find out what the story is.

Even better, euphoric AM, then one of JF?s famous $5 steaks. Got 7pm train feeling very happy all set for the 8.30 replay on fox when I got home. But crashed out and woke up at 9pm, fairy lights out the window, hells bells I'm at Katoomba and no trains back the other way. A frozen hour later a very pissed off C&K arrived to bail me out.

We caught public transport to the game yesterday and it was fantastic. Got a seat, the buses weren't crowded... we got there at about Midday, we were home (lower north shore) by 5 and that including staying to go and toddle around on the ground after the second siren as well...I guess coming from the South may have sucked more... the trick coming from the city is not to take the Swans suggested public transport (the shuttle bus from Central) and just catch one of the 300 buses that go through Moore Park from Circular Quay.

the traffic was bad at 10am. We missed the first quarter of the ressies game because we stuck in it. Almost every car was turning into Fox studios. I couldn't believe the wood show would attract that much attention.

Public transport to the SCG is far better than Stadium Australia.

Busses are regular and it's only a 5min ride to Central.

I hate SA, it is in the middle of nowhere and takes almost 45min to get into the city. The seats are crap (too far from the field and most of them don't even face the centre), has no character and looks plain stupid with a crowd of less than 50000.

Yeah I hate Stade De Testra too...but I do live next door the SCG, so that might have something to do with it of course

Telstra just lacks something for me.

I do agree with earlier comments on traffic in the Moore Park area, it is awful even on 23000 crowd days let alone yesterday, I am not sure that will ever be fixed, but I do love the ground!

                            - Open up temp parking in the parks either side of Anzac Pde, so you dont need to go down driver ave.

                            - Put a train line directly to it (FFS the area has got 2 stadiums > 40,000 people, plus fox studios, plus centenial park, plus show pavilion). Trains are the only mass transport system that can handle the numbers.
