Yesterday was for me the best game I have seen live for a long time. It was also the most revved up I have seen the crowd, everyone around us (You ROCK Bay 29) was right into it. Every time the chants went up, it was all in. Super stuff. And can you ever get sick of singing the club song after a win like that!?
....and quite a few "BALLLLLLL........YEEEESSSS!" 's too.

Can I show a bit of ignorance here, because the ball rule is something I have really struggled with. I have been a member now for 6 years but can still rarely pick them. Someone told me that it's when a player takes a step after being tackled, but from what I can tell it's rarley ever paid. It's the one time I never yell out because when I do, I'm usually the lone voice (and then feel like a GOOSE). Is it something that takes a while to pick?Comment

But, on the other hand, if there's an opposition player that is tackled near you within a nanosecond of receiving the ball then a scream of "ball!!" can't do any harm.Comment

Generally most people yell out ball at any old time so don't worry too much
The key is simply the opportunity to dispose of the ball prior to the 'legal' tackle being laid.
If you had the time to get rid of it, generally you will be called for holding the ball.Comment

So if a player with the ball runs 30m towrds the goal and an opposition player and gets tackled without trying to off load, that's part of the rule?Comment

You are saying he ran 30 metres, and then was tackled??
I think you would have a riot if that wasn't holding the ball!Comment

Very true - THEY hold the ball. WE are pushed in the back - or tackled high. That's a universal rule.Comment

watch it again if you have any doubt about it's worthiness as one of the greatest wins.then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i knowComment
