But thats not the point of this thread.

I reckon being labelled "under-rated" has to be one of the most under-rated assets for a footballer or an entire team.

Who cares if a player is "under-rated"? Being "rated" only gains you newspaper column inches. It may gain you a harder tag out on the field, but if you deserve to be "rated", you'll be able to deal with that.

So next time I see someone says that player x is under-rated, I'll say "Good, lets keep it that way!"

Crouch has been under rated for ages in my book, and Bolton is coming along nicely too.

Wouldn't it be nice if we were able to build a backline around Bolton, Goodes, Barry etc and have Schauble have to work his way into a rock solid back line?

Schneider will be under rated when he gets back too, because of the injury time he's had.

I like the way that Mathews continues to improve in his own quiet fashion.

He gave another indication as to why I think he might make a good captain. He always seems to be involved in the game, he spends a lot of time talking to the other players and also supports them when the opposition tries anything physical.

the sydney swans as a team are underrated... i agree it doesnt matter what people say or whom rates whom... but every year u read about the games superstars or champions and see the swans have none according to experts

until we win a premiership seen as its been since 1933 we will continue to be underrated and not given enough respect
