We are comparing the two players, because Jude was taken at pick #8 and Hayes at #11. With Hayes, being a Sydney-born player, we could have had a home-grown star, but alas it was not to be. Thats why you see so many discussions re Fosdike (pick #3) vs Bolton vs Hayes.

Right now you would have to say Hayes has been the pick of the bunch, but Im not willing to bet our own Jude and Fozzie are done with yet.

Some of the key stats in the past season and a half are:

      Code:
      2003 Disposals Clearances Goals
      Bolton 21.1 4.4 12

      Hayes 26.3 4.0 13

      2004 Disposals Clearances Goals
      Bolton 18.1 3.1 8

      Hayes 25.3 3.8 2

Just a minor point, I think Jude was taken with pick 7

Of course it doesn't tell the full story, even saints fans recognise that Lenny's pretty wastefull with his disposal.

personally it all depends on whos around them... perhaps at the swans lenny hayes wouldnt of got in the team to start with or wouldnt of liked a coach or perhaps hed be a star

perhaps jude bolton would be stkilda captain if he went there and would of been a superstar or perhaps traded to some far off league or worse the fremantle dockers

its all speculation i doubt jude or lenny wonder if
Theres not much left to say

It's true there are a few members on RWO that don't like Jude no matter how hard he tries week in week out. I personally think they have a vandetta against him. There are also some people who just like stirring!

I think you'd be hard pressed to fiind ANY player on the Swans list that someone on RWO hasn't dissed and wanted traded.

                          H'm Thinking, thinking,

                          Ok possibly 1

                          (Although I THINK Plugger46 came close pre-season).

But certainly Leo, Nicksy, Williams, Maxy, Goodes have all been bucketted.

Absolutely - I noted that elsewhere. However, he does get more of the ball than Bolton, whose possessions are only occasionally really damaging and he gets pretty much the same number of clearances.
