I reckon Worsfold and Connolly are safe this year, but for two teams supposed to be on the rise they both look in serious danger of missing the 8. Another year I reckon. Also Dean Laidley will get another year.

The only coaches who I reckon are in no danger of being pushed (however some may walk) before the end of 2005 are Roos, Sheedy, Pagan, Daniher, Matthews. Mark Thomson should be OK, but for Cornflakes if the wheels fell of the Saints ?!?!?

Mike Sheahan asked last night on OTC "where are all the coaches going to come from". Besides Eade and wallace there is no-one out there with experience who would be picked up.

Part of my suggestion that Port will be looking for a new coach was not joking. After the Swans finals defeat last year Mark Williams was lucky to still have the job by Grand Final time. Unless they win the premiership this year I reckon he's gone. And I don't think even a GF berth is likely for Port.

As someone else posted - Brisbane looks good. Dees and Bombers way behind. Aints and Swans a bit behind them (and maybe Port). Then the rest. But there's stil half a season to go.

The Swans will have to play very well to be top 4. The Aints will have to fall apart to fall out of the top 4. Finals experience/attitude will be vital and that may tell against this year's Dees and Aints.

I didn't take it as a joke for one second. They are under REAL pressure this weekend.

Sydney are ahead of the bombers.

Speaking of Fox Studios, living where I live, I go there a bit, and I notice I get a 10% discount everwhere when I where swans stuff - Swans players and staff get a discount all over Fox
Which still makes things 15% overpriced.

I go to the City Convenience Store there, but try and avoid the rest of Fox. Not even wrapped in the Fox & Lion. An official clubhouse, MY FOOT!

I agree. I don't think Port are the team they were over the last 2 seasons. Sorry, but playing Port Adelaide in a half empty Footy Park does not scare me at all. We have a far better record against them than we do the Crows for some reason.

I don't like Mark Williams. He makes big statements and provokes other people necessarily. I know that is the Port way of doing things, but it only brings pressure on HIM in the long run.

Rodney Eade is doing corporate "training" .... team building etc. largely based in the Sydney market.

I'd like to see Mark Harvey get a go, but he's probably waiting for Sheeds to fall off the perch, as I can't see him ever wanting to leave Essendon.

True ... the scary thing is, half the players on the Essendon list weren't even born when Sheedy started coaching the Bombers. Sheeds has been there so long he has coached players and their sons.

I think Plough will get a coaching job soon. He's too good a coach to be left out of a job for too long.

he'll be waiting a long time then. Sheedy has been so successful and his players still love him, so unless he decides to go back to Richmond, Harvey will need to look elsewhere.
