I hope you don't do that anymore!!! Oh you just jump out of cakes now!!!

You must be dissappointed that your dream ended, before you had a chance to fulfil it. you coulda been "Swannettegirl".

Certainly made the football worthwhile going to for a Rugby League fan.

There's not enough room to be running down the rows of seats anymore, and I only ask to jump out of cakes for special people

Come on guys, it's not a music chart it's OUR song so it's a good song! Anyone who lived through the 'other' songs we tried "come on we're Bucky's boys" et al would scarcely complain about the old classic surely!

I must admit I do like "Up there goes Sydney" best of the 'modern' songs.

i despise any song, and by extension the club, that mentions winning the premiership. it's just too cocky.

maybe the "cake walk" should be replaced with "pipe dream"

FIW I don't mind "Cheer Cheer" - always sing it with gusto when we win (and before the game), much to the chagrin of those sitting near me (can't carry a tune in a bucket).
Don't know what all the fuss is about regarding the Tigers song I find it turgid "tiger land...." and another thing their kit is black and yellow not the other way around (I know I'm a pedant).

Agree with Ange - but Ange's husband has a theory that the standard of a good club song is gaged by the Trombone and trumpet content. and lets face it Cheer Cheer has a bit of that (including the very "hip" banjo solo!) We also determined that the Footscray club song had a bit of a 1980's dance mix feel about it. Listen to the instrumental part it does have a touch of the Saturday Night Fever's about it.
Eitherway - we have to have a song - and as long as it doesnt contain the words "good Old Collingwood forever" - then Cheer Cheer will do me!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

For those who don't like the Banjo - listen to the disco version - it's almost enough to make you hate the song...
