    Consecutive Games Streak

If Beaumont gets rubbed out for his part in the melee - his consecutive games streak which is well over 100 and the second most by a current player (most is Yze) finishes.

One game behind Beaumont is Jared Crouch.

Crouchie made his debut in Round 7 1998 and hasn't missed a game since!!!!!!

That is insane and if Crouchie hadn't actually done it I would have thought it impossible.

Testament to what a fantastic team guy Crouchie is.

Now all we need is the Ooze to go down.

It's a pretty insane stat when you remember that Ball played his 150th in round 1 this year and Crouch (fingers crossed) is set to play his in round 19. One of them debuted in 1992, and the other in 1998.

Jim Stynes record was 244 consecutive games

Jared Crouch has currently played 143 consecutive games

Crouch passed Cresswell's record in round 1 2003

A cheetah can run up to speeds of 70mph (112 kph)

Reagan's first big role as an actor was playing ill-fated football star George Gipp in the 1940 film classic, Knute Rockne - All-American.

In the one of the movie's most famous scenes, a dying, bed-ridden Gipp - nicknamed the Gipper - urges his college teammates to win a critical football game in his honour.

"Win one for the Gipper," Reagan says in the film.

The role catapulted the young Ronald Reagan to fame, and the nickname "the Gipper" stuck with him forever after

I would like to know what the record is for consecutive games from debut. Most "consecutive games" records are not from debut.

Here's the closest Crouchie has come to missing a game, and another article that explains why he didn't:

Crouch in doubt for Richmond clash

Sydney's Jared Crouch is in danger of missing his first AFL match since making his debut in 1998 after being injured in the Swans' 28-point win over Melbourne yesterday.

Crouch left the field in the second quarter of the 15.9 (99) to 10.11 (71) win with a corked thigh.

Sydney coach Rodney Eade says with just six days before his side meets Richmond at Colonial Stadium, Crouch could be in some doubt for the match.

Melbourne's Nathan Brown had to be stretchered off the field, also with a corked thigh, shortly before fulltime in yesterday's match, in which Barry Hall kicked six goals for Sydney.

Its 3am the morning after a hard game of footy, every muscle aches, you?re tired and all you really want to do is sleep, but you?ve got a corky and the medical team says you?ve got to stay up and ice it all night.

As your eyes start to waver and the sofa bed looks more and more enticing, and you know you have to be back at the club in just a few hours, do you give in and take that snooze, or do you follow medical orders and keep the icing routine going to stop the bleeding?

If you?re the Swans Jared Crouch, you flick the remote to another old American sitcom on Pay TV, grab another ice pack, and prepare for another couple of long hours of the icing regime.

It is probably because of that the 24-year-old has played 92 games straight for the Swans and is eyeing Daryn Cresswell?s club consecutive games record.

But he?s got a bit of a fight on his hands. A corked thigh against the Demons at the SCG last weekend has laid him low this week, and he faces the prospect of maybe missing a game, not that he?d admit it.

He?s confident he?ll be right come Richmond on Saturday night.

Crouch got about three hours sleep Sunday night, but while following the ice regime could seem to drag on after awhile, he said the time actually passed quickly.

?From about 6pm until about 4.30am I was pretty much 20 minutes ice on 20 minutes ice off to make sure I stopped the bleeding pretty well straight away. I was pretty lucky I had just had Fox installed last week. You find yourself watching some pretty funny stuff in the early hours of the morning,? Crouch said.

This is not the first time Crouch has been in a little doubt early in the week, but fought back to play the next weekend.

When he?s ruled out early in the week he sees it as a challenge; a challenge to defy the odds and get out on the ground the next weekend.

?I don?t like to be told ?you?re gone, you?re gone? and they?re saying this on Monday and you?ve still got a whole week to go. So I have got a fair bit of determination just to ice it and get it right.?

This ?corky? is not so bad. Crouch went through a period last year when he had three such injuries in quick succession, so he knows the routine and can tell when things are on the improve.

Things became such a problem last year that the former South Australian took to wearing padded bike shorts under his footy gear to protect his thighs, but he said something like that wouldn?t have helped on Sunday as the injury was a little lower than the others.

Still, he?s not ruling out a return to the pants, although not necessarily for injury reasons.

?To be honest, they did reduce my corked thighs a little bit but it also meant that the commentators called me Jared instead of Ben or anyone else, so that was another reason why I was wearing them.

Crouch is pretty proud of having played 92 games straight, although while some are starting to talk about Cresswell?s record, the nuggetty backman certainly is not.

He said he just loved to play the game and was not a good spectator, all the more motivation to get himself right every week.

Illness during the pre-season ruled him out for a couple of games, and he did not cope well, so he really didn?t relish the idea of missing a regular season game.

?It is just so hard to be sitting there watching, I just want to be out there doing something.?

Crouch is known around the club as one of the most disciplined players when it comes to injuries and looking after his body, and it has certainly helped him stay on the paddock but he?s not sure what it means.

?Does it mean that I have been lucky enough not to have had major injuries, or do I not go in hard enough to not get the bad injuries? I just love to play the game, so that?s the reason I don?t like to miss one.?

Crouch has made a name for himself in the Swans defence, but he does also move up into the midfield, as he did against the Demons on Sunday.

He certainly loves playing in the centre and having the freedom to run around a little more, but such is his sheer love for the game he doesn?t really care where the coach plays him, so long as he?s on the field.

?If its best that I play down back playing on one of their small forwards and it helps the team and I do my job and we win it is more enjoyable than if I run around on my own in the midfield, get 40 touches, and the team loses.

?As long as I am running around, doing my job and getting a kick that?s the main thing.?

And it?s that determination and desire that will no doubt see Crouch line up for his 93rd consecutive game against the Tigers this weekend.

I remember that incident heaps well, amazing how dedicated he was to pull it through.

haven't seen the incident but according to most people Yze's report was the second softest in history (although softest at the time- Justin Longmuir managed to trump it in the Freo game)
It will probably get thrown out before it even hits the tribunal
(Likewise Longmuir who was reported for a push in the back)
