Port Adelaide tagger Stuart Cochrane will miss Sunday's AFL clash against Sydney at AAMI Stadium after copping a one-match ban from the Tribunal on Tuesday night.
It was the first suspension of Cochrane's 88-game career with firstly the Kangaroos and now Port Adelaide.
Cochrane was found guilty of striking Brisbane's Richard Hadley during last Saturday night's match at the Gabba and told the tribunal he had only been trying to spoil the ball when he accidentally made contact to the face of the young Lion.
However tribunal chairman Brian Collis described Cochrane's spoiling attempt as "reckless" and said only his previous unblemished record saved him from a longer suspension.
