Great interview. The Captain's philosphy on footy and life is amazing. We are lucky to have him at Sydney.
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Re: Brett Kirk: one of a kind

Was there any one thing that happened to turn you from a battler into one of the best?

elimination final against hawthorn a few years ago when he was the only one who stood up. apparently would have got cut was it not for that performance

      The most single-minded.

      Probably Nathan Buckley.

      Do they talk to you?

No. And I don't talk to them.

i still laugh at the thought of kirk "tagging" buckley for an entire drinks function in perth for the international series. buckley wasn't part of the team but thought he'd grace the party with his presence.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Words fail to do justice to describe Brett Kirk and what he means to the club.
