The longer Balme'y stays at the 'pies the more crap he espouses....it was one of the more obvious charges of late (Hawthorn excepted).Originally posted by Bart

He should have got 1 IMO for being reckless.
Maybe he did it intentionally, maybe not, only he knows and he should get the benefit of the doubt.
Certainly not complaining though.
I wish nothing but pain and misery on the Wobbles, and the only thing better than them recieving that is them getting UNFAIR pain and misery - and lots of it

Isn't this in the wrong forum? I would have thought it should have been in AFL chat rather than RWO chat.

also happy he won't play against us, but i do have to say i've seen worse stuff get off scott free.I wish my weed was EMO so it would cut itselfComment

Agree. I didn't think there was much in it and if it were Bazza in his shoes I'd be pretty annoyed - particularly as Barry would probably have been given a four or five week holiday. I'm not sure the incident was that much worse than the contact B1 made to Dal Santo's head last weekend - which was purely accidental but was a late spoil and with enough force to leave Dal Santo lying on the ground for a minute or two.Originally posted by dread and might

I don't want to see players suspended for incidents like those - and would actually prefer that Tarrant was playing against us. The Swans have to beat the best if they want to get anywhere and Tarrant shouldn't provide any fears.Last edited by liz; 11 June 2004, 10:46 AM.Comment

You must have been happy so far this year then Lizz, where we seem to have had a few games where players were newly back and jumping out of their skins to beat us (Richo comes to mind)?Originally posted by lizz

At least one columnist today was suggesting that Tarrant's suspension may herald the end of the traditional full forward (like Plugger). I would have thought those days were already over. Interesting stat that Port also relies on numerour avenues to goal like us. I think Baz is the dawn of the new era - a big fast player who sets up as many as he kicks.Comment

Richo played a superb game against us, no doubt. But the Swans still could have - even should have - won that game had they not disintegrated in the final term. I have no idea what was going on in their heads that week, but it was a far different team to the one that took to the field last weekend.Originally posted by Go Swannies

If you want to be a serious contender for the premiership, you can't rely on other teams' best players being unavailable.Comment

Agree that Tarrant was unlucky, but I'm not sure I'd rather him play against us. 4 points is 4 points, and Tarrant is a potential matchwinner. I'd rather us win without Tarrant than lose because of his input (sorry I know this is a bit obvious and simplistic). But we should take every advantage we can get, as we will probably be without Saddo, Schaubs, Schneider and potentially Ball and Barry. If the Pies lose this match, they are dead and buriedOriginally posted by lizz
