    Kirk favourite for Swans B & F???

The following extract is from this link:

    SYDNEY - Brett Kirk
Kirk had a stellar season in 2003 and was widely regarded as the most improved player in the competition last season. He may not always rack up the most disposals, but his ability to shut down the opposition's key midfielder is crucial to the Swans' side. After finishing second in the Bob Skilton Medal last year, at this stage he could go one better, although Barry Hall, Paul Williams and Leo Barry are likely to have a say in the second half.

Personally, I am very suprised! I think Hall is hot hot hot favourite.

(Hope this is alright under the new rules btw?)

I reckon Barry would be leading the medal at this point in time.

    Very team oriented player.

I am thinking at this stage Barry Hall followed by Captain. However after Roos gave Leo 15 out of 10 for his last game he could be closing in fast.

I actually thought Kirk might have won it last year.

Roos said the other night that Hall had been best this season, Barry (Leo), more the last month or so.

Even with Goodes winning the Brownlow I still thought that Kirk might win. After all, you can win a Brownlow with 7-8 great games, but the B&F depends on your performance in all 22.

At the game you notice Baz - and Leo flies past every now and again.

But when you see the video there's ALWAYS the captain's tousled head protruding from the bottom of the pack. We're lucky that we have a lot of hard workers in the team but no-one in the whole AFL works harder than the captain. That's reflected in his tackle count - 65 with the next closest Tyson Stenlein of the Crows on 50. He's an incredible 30% ahead of the next most prolific tackler - a stat as impressive as Gehrig's goal count!

And I thought Buckley's chance was fairly Goodes.

For what my opinion is worth (heaps mate), I have been really impressed with Barry Hall this year. He has become a team player, our most consistant, relaible foreward and even kept that temper under control. Or at least learnt to deck people when the cameras and umpires are looking elsewhere.

But seriously, he's become an integral part of the side and it would be great to see him get the reco. However, Leo's closing in, and Willo's returning back to form (how cool is he to watch on song?). Holy Cow - we could go all the way!
