    Footyhead where are you?

I just noticed that I haven't seen that regular Swans fan Footyhead since the Swans started winning. Where are you? I would have expected something about the Swans using injuries as an excuse for unacceptable performance before the Port game, at least?

But there are no excuses! none at all! Im sick of the mediocrity that has become in-grained into our culture. No excuses! No ruckmen. No full-forward. No full-back. The kids should be able to step right in and play like a 150 gamer. No excuses! Im sick of the honourable losses.

Well we brought Roos in on a youth policy. I just didn't know he was going to take it as seriously as this game would appear!

Seriously, I've been really impressed by the maturity shown by the new players this season. I don't expect Bevan, Buckanan or McVeigh to make mistakes anymore than I do Willo or Stewie. But it's a big ask for this many players with not huge experience to take on a team that is a genuine Top 4 contender. They have some injuries too - but ours are ridiculous. If we win, we are in fair shape for the rest of this season. But if we merely perform creditably then things are looking good for the next few years.

Here I am watching proceedings with interest, and listening to all the comments by certain unsuspecting fools who have not been able to read the signs that have been so obvious to so many.

You will find no supporter as enthusiastic when I see the team heading in what I consider is the right direction. Earlier this year the signs where good, but I no longer beleive we can win the premeirship this year. Sorry.
