Our midfield is settled mediorically (sic). Recruiting McVeigh is a chance for us to lift the midfield standard.

Kirk is not that young and if we relies on Fosdike to be one of our prime movers, we are one step closer to the wooden spoon.

Dont you think that Rivers + Schaubles would be a premiership defensive spine? No way. McVeigh has enough qualities to be a major part of a premiership winning midfield.

Instead of recruiting just for the sake of immediate improvement, one should recruit to build a premiership winning team.

people were saying 'what would our options be if hall went down???' solution: play okeefe at CHF, albeit he wouldnt be as effective as hall, but he would provide the option on the HF line

the difference between okeefe's day outs and his off days, is that his off days his leads are simply not honoured, he will keep presenting but he is not the option the midfielders will go to...

i just really prefer okeefe to run around and be free and have a hall type in the key position... i dont doubt okeefe at all hes a great player

Ah, they've finally changed it. ROK was listed at 190cm forever and no one believed it. The current stats look more realistic. He's about my size (although I'm about 5kg over him, but then again I also have a lot of years on him too!).

there was an article in Inside Footy, just after Dermie and JB had there debate about his height (during the Freo game) being 185 or 190cm and he confirmed in the article he is 190cm.

It was the week 14th April. And no I'm not that tragic. I was on holiday that week and didn't buy it until I got an SMS from a friend telling me about it, so I hunted down a copy when back in Sydney the week after.
