I don't know whether I would have named him POTW, but I definately agree with all that was said in the article. I find it hard to assess the importance of players in a linear fashion (as in, he's number 1, 2, etc.), but he is certainly in my top group. Without him, winning becomes a much harder task for the Swannies. Let's all pray that his body holds up for a while yet!

In circumstances would have given it to Bevan, but take your points Liz

I thought Buchanan may have rated a mention. He was looking really good until his injury.

Or even Kirk, because his fumbles in the 1st quarter kind of summed up everything that was going wrong with the whole team

I fret about this. I remember saying in January that Schauble was infinitely more important than most of us gave credit for. Bang, he hasn't played a H&A game this year. I hope this player rests up and I hope we see him at Telstra.

Good call Lizz - unorthodox but justified. I'm glad to see him getting the recognition he deserves. He's crucial.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
