Ticket sales Sydney v The filth

Does anyone know how well tickets are selling for the big game.

I am coming up to Sydney with 2 mates and taking another 5 people from Sydney who normally don't go to games.

As Big Kev used to say "I'm excited", want a big crowd for the atmosphere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No idea. You'd be hoping for 50-60k though. I don't expect the same as last year, as both teams were playing for second spot, but still should be a good one.

I agree on that, but this time we are both playing for a spot in the 8 so you can expect that to get most people's blood flowing.

I know a heap of The Filth supporters making the trip to Sydney as they bought their tickets before the season started with the cheap deals on offer.

what bays in the concourse are the collingwood folk going to be in? the venue map shows opposition fans at 142-1 but that seems like it would be a tad small?!?

That is for the cheer squad, if there are as many of the great un washed as last year they will be all around that bay.

They also sat in the expensive seats on the second level on the Telstra Stadium members side if I remember correctly, I could smell them from the ground level.

Geez i think the club would be ecstatic if that many turned out !

I doubt we will get anywhere near that number, IMHO 40k max, best guess around 35k

I think around 50k would be achievable.

We got 36k for the Saints and Collingwood are much more popular than them, regardless of ladder positions.

Dont agree, saints were unbeaten and it was a very nice day at SCG.

This is a night game at homebush against a team way outside the 8

Personally, dont think majority of Swans members give a rats arse about Collingwood, as crowds prior to last years "top of table clash" attest.

All a matter of opinion tho, guess we will find out soon, and i would be more than happy to admit i was completely wrong !

I guess I have taken the view that night games at SA have provided our 3 largest crowds.

Personally I hate the place, but heaps of people seem to like it.

Remember also that it's the only game of the round, so that will be another crowd drawing factor.

Look i hope you right, but seeing as Sydney only ever has (at best) one game anyway, the fact there is only one game on that weekend is irelevant !

Cant exactly see other teams supporters coming up/across !

As i said tho , despite not liking the place also, i would hope for a decent crowd for the club

Many of the ones i know are sitting in the stand on the level under cover, behind the Swans cheersquad. I think it's 117-2 to 120-2.

Yeah, that sucked. There were a whole group of them up the back in the upstairs bit behind the goals. When Williams got the ball, all you heard was booing.

Fair call, they made a great deal of atmosphere for their team. But can't they be down the other end. So that we can get some more Swans supporters at the left of screen end.

well from Ruda's post, JF looks like you're going to cop them again.

I tried to book parking in p1 a couple of weeks ago to be told it was full. Now this could be because I got a lazy telephone person from ticketek who had already called up the P3 area (it's happened before) or, it could be actualy full. That should indicate a decent size crowd.

You prompted me to check the Ticketek site BB and sure enough P1 sold out.
I can't remember this happening so far out in an OS game.
They sometimes release more spots closer to game day so I'd check back regularly over the coming days.
