Ressies at Drummoyne next Sat arvo

Swans website says this week the Swans have a bye and their next game will be against Weston Creek, who have not won a game this season, on Saturday June 26 at Drummoyne Oval in Sydney at 2.00pm. I was looking forward to getting out to Telstra early to watch 'em anyone know what's on before?

Yeah not too happy with that Troy. Not sure what I'm going to do now. I was going to call the club next week to confirm it is definite.

I haven't heard of anything on. After the ANZAC game, there were a lot of complaints about how the ground was falling apart after 3 games were played that afternoon/night. I wouldn't think that given it is showcasing Aussie Rules in Sydney they would have nothing on, but could it have something to do with ground conidition, or is the prematch entertainment going to be that huge?

I phoned the club today to find out what was happening.

I was advised it's defintely at Drummoyne Oval and the reason behind it is that the surface won't stand up to 2 games.

      They are commencing at 2pm.

      Anyone going?

Doesnt give you much confidence about standing up for one game, especially late in the game. Are we to expect more ankle and hamstring injuries then? Bloody stadium should just be pulled down and forgotten.

Was worried about this, remembering that they've got to get the wings (and the ground in general) up after the rugger last weekend.

Pity, need to treat these things with kid gloves these days. Yet another chance at regional footy exposure lost.
