Advance Notice - Geelong Game - Party

Those who know me (and probably a lot who don't) will know that I live rather close to Kardinia Park (Skilled Stadium is in Kardinia Park).

    So the party is on.....

Saturday night July 17 before the Geelong game, a BBQ and drinkies and some good footy movies (JS can you bring some winning DVD's please?).
There are no spare beds here, but room for a mattress on the floor in the spare room and loungeroom (or under the new verandah if the house fills up).
If you prefer a motel, don't pay Melbourne prices - there's a couple close by
    Colonial Lodge Motel
    Kardinia Park Motel
    Admiralty Motor Inn

Sunday morning, BBQ left over for Brunch, and maybe some of my famous blueberry pancakes.

RSVP a must - so send me a PM if you're going to be here!

The DVD's were on my packing list Cher (including the Port final).

How big (and wide) is the TV?

I wasn'r gonna bother with the Geelong game, but it would be cool tgo meet up with everyone, so count me in at this stage.

Have to make sure I don't have the kids, but if I don't I will dig out my sleeping bag

Cher, I am not sure if I will be going to that game. I don't have a seat and my husband and mother don't want to go as they suspect we will be killed. It seems ridiculous to make the effort to fly to Sydney for games (and the expense) and then not go to one that we can drive to - but the bottom line is that it is so much more enjoyable in Sydney. I never feel as miserable when we lose. But it would be good to meet some more people from this site. I'll see you at the Collingwood game.

I'll be down with Pete, and possibly Alex and Boofhead from the Cheer Squad.

He is driving to Perth from the Cattery, so I'll be Jetstaring it home on the Sunday night I'd gather.

Des, I think the J said that her olds would be keen on helping out.

All in all it should be a fun old weekend.

Who from Sydney is going down?

I rang the club and they said that there is no allocation for us, get them though Ticketmaster 7. I wouldn't hang around as with the cat's success of late and the limited capacity at Kardinia it should be a full house. There are more Melb cheersquad members than seats provided so getting a seat with them is a punt that they all wont turn up. Silent Lurker and I got ours two weeks ago, bay 3 just around from CS at $41 + commission per pop.

Kids are welcome, I can always put a tent up!
My place is pretty small, but I now have a huge verandah at the back, lets hope for a mild night.

Thanks Cher, but after the trip to the SCG I decided that they should have a break from the footy, mainly so that I actually get to enjoy it a bit lol

Contact Tony Morwoof ASAP mate <[email protected]>. Sadly due to the aforementioned restrictions with Cheer Squad seating, Denise has only reserved tickets for the regulars from Sydney (aka those who come out on the banner each week in Melbourne).

All the rest will need to see what Tony can do for you.
